How to start earning money with your photos on Photojobz

If you love taking photos and you've always wondered how you could earn money with them, you should definitely read this article. Today there are plenty of platforms where you can sell your photos but now, I'm going to review the website called Photojobz. In the first section of this article, you can read about some basic photography stuff, like what equipment you should have or how you can edit your photos like a professional. In the second part of this review, I'm going to tell you a bit about a photo selling platform, that is called Photojobz.

Professional or hobby photography

I'm a hobby photographer. I loved taking photos since I was a kid. I don't have a piece of expensive equipment, but what I do have is the creativity and the motivation to take photos. When I see something that really inspires me or I come across something that I think would make a great concept for a picture, I capture that moment or that concept immediately. I have a basic camera, but I don't always take it with me, so sometimes I take photos with my phone. With good lighting and a great concept, you can take a nice photo with whatever equipment you have.

What equipment do I have as a hobby photographer?

As I said I have a very basic camera. There are lots of types of cameras, and you should choose one based on your preferences. I bought mine on Amazon. Amazon is great because you can find anything you need there. If you want to be a hobby photographer who takes photos outside with good natural light, you'll only need a camera. However, if you'd like to take photos indoors, you'll need some lightning as well. Whether you want to make product photos or photos of a model, you'll need something that replaces natural lights. On Amazon, you can also find lights and other equipment that you can use to make the indoor space brighter. I also bought a bag for my camera on Amazon because I want to keep it safe. However, today, some cellphones have excellent cameras with which you can take amazing quality photos.

Edit photos like a pro

To improve the quality of my photos, I use photo editing software. There are plenty of photo editing apps but what I recommend you the most is either Adobe Lightroom or Photoshop or Affinity Photo. Both are very great and easy to use. With these apps, you can improve your photos by for example setting the exposure, the brightness and contrast, the hue and saturation, and many more aspects. Adobe has a monthly subscription fee, and Affinity has a one-time fee.

How does Photojobz work?

As their slogan claim:

You don't really need anything else. As they say, they help you sell your pictures to thousands of potential buyers. These customers usually look for images for their websites, catalogs, books, magazines, ads, and for many other uses. So, I decided to try out Photojobz. Here are my first impressions.

The registration processes

After a quick registration, I was able to upload my content. I only had to add some basic information about me, and my credit card details. Signing up for Photojobz is $1. After the sixth day, I had to pay the full price which is $27. Once I paid this money, I was granted full membership. This membership includes a step-by-step guide, and access to the job database, daily e-mail support, and unlimited income opportunity.

Uploading your works

There are some technical requirements and of course you must pay attention to other regulations. For example, use your own photos and don't violate the copyright of others. Also, if your photo displays a visible person, you should have permission from that person where they declare that they agreed to be on that photo. The really cool thing about Photojobz is that since it's entirely online, it's not a problem if someone from outside the US wants to join.

My opinion about Photojobz

I must declare that it's a totally reliable site and not a scam at all. It's real, and you can really get paid after your images. However, it requires hard work. You must have a broad portfolio with beautiful photos. If you're fed up with your everyday job, joining Photojobz could be a great start of your freelancer carrier. Also, if you love your job, selling your photos could mean a bit of extra money. I belong to the second category. I'm a hobby photographer who hopes to gain some money by selling my photos. If you want to be a freelance photographer, it requires more effort, but that's obvious. As a hobby photographer, I take photos after work or at the weekend. Taking photos can help me relax after a hard day or hard week. Being on Photojobz motivates me to create more photos and to improve my skills.

Tips for beginner freelance photographers

If you've decided that you try selling your photos online, I would suggest you to always know what the current trends are, be inspired by others but never copy their works, finally, do as much photography as you can. I browse the most popular images to know what kind of topics people usually look for. Also, having a look at other images can help me if I have a creative burnout. I can gain a lot of inspiration from fellow members whenever I feel stuck. However, if you gain inspiration from others, be careful not to copy their works. What I do is to gain inspiration and if a see something that I really like, I try to make something similar to it but still unique.

A big portfolio is a good start

When I decided to upload my content on Photojobz, I knew that I must make my portfolio as big as I can. The more content you upload, the easier it'll be for customers to find you. That's why I encourage you to take photos as often as you can. It's not only a great opportunity to practice but also, the more chance you'll have to earn money by selling your photos.

Other opportunities

When you have a nice portfolio on Photojobz, you can try some hacks to improve your profile. As an example, let's create a social media account where you post all your beautiful photos. Maybe the best platform for that purpose is Instagram. On Instagram, images are in the focus. With the use of relatable hashtags and with eye-catching images, you can easily and rapidly increase the number of your followers. Also, it's possible to put the link of your Photojobz account into your Instagram bio, so your followers can see where they can buy your photos. What's more, it's a great source of inspiration if you follow other photography accounts.

All in all,

...if you love photography and enjoy taking photos, why wouldn't you try earning money with them? There are plenty of platforms where you can sell your photos but, in this article, I was reviewing the website called Photojobz. I collected some tips on how to start earning money with your photos on Photojobz and you could also read about some of my personal preferences on photo accessories and photo editing apps.
