I'm sure you've had your laptop broken during an important project or a cool game party. Suddenly the hinge is broken or the screen starts flashing? Or did you accidentally spill your coffee on the keyboard? Countless small mistakes can add up to a huge problem. But the solution is easier than you think. Let’s get into it!
I'm sure you've had problems with your laptop at least once in your life when it would have been good if you could solve the problem ASAP. Fortunately, we have lots of video tutorials and online courses at our disposal to learn some repairing tricks. Also, we can even use this knowledge to start a business of our own. After a long search, I found the Laptop Repair Made Easy online course a really good choice. And I wanted to share my experience with you.
How did I find this course?
As a student, my laptop was an essential part of my life and now I need it for my job on a daily basis. A few years ago, I got tired of having to browse the internet so often to find solutions to simple problems that are actually easy peasy to solve. As a student, I didn't always have money for the coolest laptops, so I replaced the memory modules by myself or cleaned out the fan when my laptop started to get loud. Then I finally decided to try the Laptop Repair Made Easy online course and my life has changed since then. I was able to solve bigger problems on my computer, which eventually felt good. Over time, I found myself repairing devices for my friends and made some money with it. Back then, it was pretty good cash for my projects.
What the course offers
This is basically a very comprehensive video tutorial from professional instructors. I had a much deeper knowledge at the end of the training than I thought I might need. But it was super exciting for me to learn more. This gave me the confidence to fix things on your laptop that are more than twisting 2 screws. For example, I have already changed a screen with the help of the tutorial.
The first chapter of the video series was about repairing CD/DVD drives and replacing batteries, designing motherboards and fixing problems with memory and hard drives. These are usually the most common issue. The lessons are easy to understand, so detailed that it’s understandable for people who have never done anything like this before. Many hours of work have been put into it by the creators to cover everything. Finding a single part of this can take days from other sources, and everything is in one place. Brilliant.
The screen is my other main problem. I can't tell you how many times I've found pixel burnout or vibrations on my screen. But there's a way to fix that. The most useful part of this chapter, in my opinion, was how to disassemble LCD screens and reassemble them. It seemed to be an impossible task, and then I realized it's not much harder than putting a RAM in your machine, you just have to screw a little more.
Battery life is finite. If you keep using your laptop from the mains charger, your battery life will decrease after a while. You'll be able to use your device for fewer and fewer hours. When I use it at home, for example, I take out the battery to spare it. In this case, only the power charger will power the laptop. And if I have to leave home, I'm just going to put it back quickly. It’s a simple trick to save money. But there are bigger issues than quickly draining batteries. A pretty common problem is when the power charger or the plug inside your laptop breaks down. This chapter deals with the detection and correction of these issues. In most cases, this involves installing a cheap component and our laptop can work well again.
Keyboards are often damaged by stuff that gets stuck under the keys and makes typing impossible. Also, a keyboard’s lifetime is finite. Although many take a very long time, they are designed only for a certain number of pushes. So, it is extremely important to learn how to clean, remove, and replace the keyboard properly. I often found myself having keys simply not working. Once my dog Willy knocked over my coke and it spilled onto the keyboard. After these buttons were stuck of course. Though, it usually takes 5-10 minutes to replace. It's a routine task, but it's very useful in cases like this.
Disassemble your laptop
This section is quite complicated but still incredibly useful. They introduced me to the entire disassembly of the laptop so that I learned every part of the device. They've gone into the details. Even into the processor or touchpad replacement. Due to that many manufacturers build their laptops differently; the course demonstrated the process on multiple manufacturers' devices. There were discrepancies here and there, but after a few installation videos, I can say that most of them could be disassembled and reassembled very similarly. Toshiba, MacBook Air, Acer Aspire One and HP 6730b laptops have also been mentioned, just to name a few of the more popular models. This part really time-consuming but I think it was worth it.
This section deals with more specific parts of laptop repairing, for example, a laptop's memory replacement. It also shows you how to replace your hard drive, including an example of a MacBook Pro, which was easy to understand and super useful. This section has added some extra parts to the basics and provided a bit more information. I think it worth watching, mainly because it answers the questions I asked myself in the course.
So, what are you going to learn?
Honestly, I think it would be easier to talk about what you're not going to learn. I only paid $47 for the Laptop Repair Made Easy course and I can tell it's worth the price. This money is a fraction of the cost of a laptop service or the purchase of a new laptop. Plus, knowledge is a good thing. Now I can not only solve my problems, but I can also confidently repair other people's machines. If I was really tired of programming, I would repair laptops again.
Why is it useful to learn about laptop repairing?
You can save a lot of money by being able to fix your broken device by yourself. You don't have to go to a service station or buy a new one instead of a laptop you think is unrepairable. But beyond saving, you can even have your own business by doing this. How? Well, according to surveys, more and more people use laptops, and that number keeps growing. Portable devices have been growing in popularity for many years. Especially many people do their job from such a device, so laptop repair is an increasingly thriving market. And fortunately, 90% of the issues are very easy to fix. This course gives you the knowledge you need to start a full repair of a laptop.
Save money and make money at the same time. You can fix other people's broken devices. Or many people buy laptops very cheaply that their sellers think are broken, but with a little time and money, it is easy to repair and then sell them at a much better price. Profits can be up to 300-500%. Let me show some YouTube channels that can come in handy:
Or you can even restore a video game console similarly:
Many channels deal with this topic and I follow them all. You should follow them too if you want to make money with it this easy.
Where can I get the components?
There are already a lot of specialized shops, so getting each part is not a difficult task at all. The course also recommends some sources where you can buy every component. They really thought of everything. You can even buy a motherboard, processor, touchpad or screen. Anything you need. I usually shop on Amazon or eBay. Though, for example, you can directly order aftermarket parts from Chinese manufacturers, like from Aliexpress. I've already ordered a computer and a laptop charger from there and I was totally satisfied with it and it was incredibly cheap compared to the store prices. Though I had to wait two or three weeks but I had time.
My final thoughts
Without a doubt, it was worth completing the Laptop Repair Made Easy course. I learned a lot more than I originally expected for this price. And I forgot to mention that the course has a 100 percent money-back guarantee, so you should give it a try. The course is extremely flexible and easy to understand for anyone.
Like with most tech stuff, there are problems with them. I’m glad that I can do some things by myself and I also highly recommend this training to you. If you have any personal experience with this course or an interesting story about your broken laptop or a story about how you fixed it, share it with me on my Facebook page under this post. I'd like to hear your interesting stories as well.
